#VoicesofCLE Artists:

In response to the social justice imperatives that arose in 2020, Cleveland businesses and organizations collaborated with local artists, activists, and people of color for the #VoicesofCLE Public Art Project. Some notable artists who participated include:

Stina Aleah: A successful artist and entrepreneur who stepped out of her comfort zone to create original works of art for #VoicesofCLE.

Jerome T. White: An art educator deeply connected to history and spirituality, inspired by Cleveland’s role in the Underground Railroad.

Rashaun Dillard: A graduate of Cleveland School of the Arts, using art as a platform for messages of hope and change.

Lauren Pearce: Known for her powerful mixed media art and captivating murals.

Gospel Music Legends:

The Shields Brothers: A gospel quartet that began their singing career in 1928 and remained Cleveland’s premiere gospel group for over seventy years. Their harmonies and messages continue to inspire.

Joe Walsh: A vocalist and guitarist associated with the James Gang, the Eagles, and a successful solo career.

The O’Jays: Canton’s R&B band, famous for hits like “Love Train,” helped define the funky subgenre of Philadelphia soul.stian Music Events:

The FEST: An annual outdoor faith and family festival in Cleveland featuring top Christian artists. Past performers include for King and Country, Danny Gokey, Tauren Wells, and We are Messengers.

Derek Prince Weems: A local independent Gospel Hip Hop artist, writer, producer, and worship leader.

Angie T: A talented worship leader known for her anointed vocals.

One Voice Worshippers: A group of anointed young ladies who lead worship with unity and passion.
